Who We Are
I am Jamie, and I founded Durango Mama's House Painting with a vision to not only support myself, but also support other Mama's in Durango. I discovered my love for painting after a very hard move and renovation. Even though it was a very stressful time, I found painting to be very meditative and loved seeing the results of transforming a space into a home. After that I needed to find work that would also give me the flexibility to be on the same schedule as my young children. I serendipitously linked up with a professional painter friend who was looking for an assistant and so began my painting career! It was so much more rewarding than the corporate jobs I've done in the past. I honed my skills under his supervision, and when he left the industry in early 2025, I was ready to venture out on my own. Right now, it's just me trying to support myself and my children in Durango, but my goal is to expand this business to provide flexible work to other moms who are struggling to do all the things we need to do to raise our families and pay our bills in this town.
