Who We Are
I am Jamie, and I founded Durango Mama's House Painting with a vision to not only support myself, but also support other moms in Durango. I discovered my enjoyment of painting after a very hard move and renovation. Even though it was a very stressful time, I found painting to be very meditative and loved seeing the results of transforming a space into a home. After that I needed to find work that would not only pay the bills but also give me the flexibility to be on the same schedule as my young children. I serendipitously linked up with a professional painter friend who was looking for an assistant and so began my painting career! It was so much more rewarding than the corporate jobs I've done in the past because I love being able to see the results of my work and how much a quality paint job can refresh and improve the look of a space. I honed my skills under his supervision, and when he left the industry in early 2025, I was ready to venture out on my own. Year 1 has been an amazing solo adventure and now I am expanding and bringing on moms who face similar challenges living and raising children in this town. We work hard, communicate well, show up when we say we will, and are committed to bringing good vibes and upgraded ascetic to your home!
